Hi Dave. I just wanted to say thank you for everything you
have done over the past 9 or so years for my boys. I have been doing a lot of
reflecting lately (I'm not going to bore you with the details - ha ha) but I
really want you to know how thankful I am for everything. You have ALWAYS stood
by my kids even when others did not. I will never forget that. You give
tirelessly of yourself for the kids and need to know that it is truly
appreciated. I know the commitment it takes to manage a season and I never had
to do all the recruiting, travel plans, etc.. that you do. I could go on and on
but I really think you aught to know how important it is what you do for these
kids. You give them a chance to continue playing competitive baseball through
their high school careers and even after as with the case of my son this year.
Even though it is still very hard for me to realize I will probably never watch
him pitch again, I am glad he was able to finish his career pitching for you.
Again Dave, from a great full parent and friend... thank you!!

Congratulations to our brother American Legion team UPPER DECK POST 86/14. They
have just won the Northeast Regionals. First time a RI team has been there in 26
years. They have put RI American Legion back on the world map as we continue to
make our league stronger. Out of 5000 teams, they are one of 8 final teams in
the world. And they will be on ESPN streaming live. Coach Reynolds told me this
week when they played Shrewsbury Mass, and that team had five committed D1
athletes. Coach Reynolds's team had players from Wheaton, Bryant, RIC, J and W
to name a few. It's great for our ball players to play this collegiate
competition. Best of luck guys!!! - Coach Schiappa

I had the privilege of playing 3 years with the senior program. Playing for
Gershkoff took me all over the country, it gave me lifelong friends, and it
taught me life lessons that I still live by today. I grew up a lot during those
summers and I’m not sure I would be where I am at today without the growth I had
as a member of Gershkoff. I still regularly talk to Coach Schiappa and there is
a reason Mr. Gershkoff has supported him and his vision for so long. He is one
of the most caring people I know who will never hesitate to pick up his phone
for you. If you are lucky enough to be able to put on the Gershkoff uniform,
cherish the memories and realize the impact it had on the many men who wore it
before you. - Dr. Michael DiCenso
"Thank you again for allowing me to play and finish up my baseball career with a
great team and a great group of kids. I enjoyed myself very much and the
coaching staff was great. You did a great job assembling a competitive team this
year and I wish you the best in the future." - Ryan Quirk, 2016
"Coach, Legion was a great time this year, I will definitely recommend it to
anyone who asks." - Jake Coro, 2016
"Playing Legion baseball taught me how the game should be played and respected.
It showed me how much talent is really out there, and with the opportunity to
play against older kids, it gave me the chance to develop my skills and better
myself as a player." - Joe Nicolace, Graduate of Nichols College; Alum of
Gershkoff Baseball, 2013 and Nichols College Baseball
"Legion baseball was a great experience for me. I recommend everyone should play
Legion baseball if they have the opportunity. We played a lot of games and got a
lot of exposure to many different schools. Thank you coach. I wish you nothing
but the best. I was seen in the Saratoga Legion Tournament by the University of
Albany and was signed shortly thereafter." "Legion made the league more
competitive by having less but more competitive teams." - Travis Collins, 2016
